This website is operated by BrainBoxIT Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11703272, trading as BeckonDesk. Using this website means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is, and what it is not

This site describes visitor and contractor management software, and publishes guidance on regulations that touch site access: OSHA, OFAC sanctions screening, PCI DSS, NERC CIP, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and state cannabis rules among others. That material is general information.

It is not legal advice, regulatory advice, or a compliance assessment of your facility. Regulations change, apply differently by sector and jurisdiction, and depend on facts we do not know about your site. Where a page carries a date, treat it as accurate as at that date rather than today.

Screening is a tool, not a determination

BeckonDesk checks arrivals against published government sanctions lists and any watchlist you maintain. A match is information for your team to act on, not a legal determination about a person. Deciding what to do about a match, and meeting your own obligations under sanctions law, remains yours.

Accuracy

We take care that what we publish is correct at the time of writing, and we cite primary sources where a claim rests on a specific regulation. We do not warrant that this site is complete, current, or error-free, and we may change it without notice.

The subscription is a separate agreement

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract begins because you read a page or start a trial enquiry. Use of the BeckonDesk service, including during the free trial, is governed by a separate written agreement covering the service, fees, data handling and liability. Where that agreement and these terms differ, that agreement takes precedence for the service it covers.

Intellectual property

The content, layout and design of this site belong to BrainBoxIT Limited or its licensors. You may read it, and quote from it with attribution and a link. You may not republish it wholesale or present it as your own.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on this website, including lost profit, lost data, business interruption, or a compliance or security outcome that did not go the way you expected. This site is provided as it is.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Links out

We link to regulators, standards bodies and legislation because citing a source is better than asserting a fact. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you access this site from elsewhere, including the United States, you are responsible for compliance with your local law. This does not remove any protection available to you under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
